Where Our Story Begins

Becoming parents changed the way we saw baby clothing forever.

When our first daughter was born, she inherited her mother’s lifelong sensitivity to fabrics. We quickly realized how difficult it was to find baby clothes that were truly gentle on the skin, safe, breathable, and still beautifully designed. Everything soft looked too basic. Everything stylish felt too harsh. We bought, returned, and searched again—never fully confident in the quality or comfort of what we were dressing her in.

That frustration became the beginning of GLYN & CO, a family-run Canadian baby brand created with one purpose:
to craft baby essentials that are safe, soft, and designed with intention.

Why We Created GLYN & CO.

One day, half-seriously, Mom said, “If I could create one thing, it would be a store where every parent knows the fabric touching their baby is safe and consciously made.” Dad responded with, “Then let’s build it.”
That small moment became a long, meticulous journey.

Over the next 1.5 years, we worked closely with manufacturers, tested dozens of fabric blends, explored print durability, analyzed stretch recovery, and researched industry certifications. We discovered that many baby clothes marketed as “soft” or “organic” still didn’t meet the standards we needed as parents. Some fabrics irritated sensitive skin. Some dyes weren’t safe for newborns. Some prints cracked or faded instantly.

During that time, our second daughter was born—also with sensitive skin. Every sample passed through her hands (and cheeks). If it didn’t feel perfect on her, we scrapped it.

This process is how we built our own standard of quality.
